Bags for Earth & Science Inc is governed by its Committee of Five Founding Committee members. They are:

President: Mr Leo A Eliades, Medical Scientist and Businessman.

Vice-President: Maria La Torre, Designer and Educator.

Treasurer and Assistant Secretary: Betty Coracas, Author/Artist.

Secretary: Helen Paleologos, Consultant.

Events Manager: Coral Thomas, Functions organiser.​

 

The Committee meets every three months to discuss the workings of BESI, including the funding and allocation of funds to research institutions. They are also able to hold special meetings when the occasion necessitates.The Committee is also legally obliged to call an annual general meeting for its subscribed members, at which the leadership positions are declared vacant and voted on.
